Cookie Policy

1. About This Policy

This Cookie Policy describes how Oligo Security, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tools on oligosec.org. Oligo is an eBPF-based runtime security platform. This policy applies only to the marketing and product information site, not platform telemetry, which separate service agreements cover. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

2. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files saved on your device when you visit a site. They help us recognize returning devices, keep sessions active, remember preferences, and understand site use. Related tools, including localStorage, support non-essential state such as banner dismissal. We do not use fingerprinting or cross-site tracking.

3. Cookies We Use

The table lists the cookies and storage entries that oligosec.org sets:

Category Name / Technology Purpose Lifetime
Strictly necessary olg-session Keeps authenticated sessions active for Pilot and Team account holders Session
Strictly necessary cookie-banner-dismissed-ts
(localStorage)
Saves the banner dismissal time so it stays hidden for 6 months 6 months
Analytics _olg_vis Self-hosted, anonymized page-visit counter; IP addresses are never stored; helps show which Security Lab articles and product pages are most useful 13 months
Marketing Not currently used No marketing or cross-site tracking cookies are set N/A

4. Notice and Choice

oligosec.org uses a notice-only consent model aligned with United States baseline requirements. Strictly necessary cookies load immediately because the site needs them to work. Analytics cookies load after you have had a chance to view the cookie notice banner.

At any time, select "Cookie preferences" in the site footer to reopen the notice. After turning off analytics in your browser settings, you can dismiss the notice.

5. Universal Opt-Out Signals

Oligo Security honors browser opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), as required under California law (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code ยง22575 and the CPRA). A detected GPC signal is treated as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information, and analytics initialization is suppressed for that session. Such signals are also honored in Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon.

6. Third-Party Cookies

Our analytics run on self-hosted systems, with no third-party analytics providers. We currently load no third-party advertising or tracking scripts. Third-party infrastructure, such as CDN or font delivery providers, may set technically necessary cookies; data-processing agreements limit those providers' use of the data.

7. Managing Cookies

  • Select "Cookie preferences" in the site footer to reopen the notice banner.
  • Browser settings can block, delete, or limit cookies on your device. Major-browser instructions are available at aboutcookies.org.
  • Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop some site features from working properly, such as account login.

8. Changes and Contact

We may revise this Cookie Policy when the technologies used on oligosec.org change. The "Last updated" date at the top will show the change.
